Winnie may be the face that brought you here, but he’s just one of almost 200 rescued animals who call Charlotte’s Freedom Farm home.
Located in Ontario, Canada, Charlotte’s Freedom Farm is a registered non-profit animal sanctuary that provides lifelong care to animals who have nowhere else to go. We never breed or buy animals—every resident has been rescued from situations including neglect, abuse, abandonment, medical needs, or the livestock industry.
Many of our residents have disabilities or require specialized care. Alongside Winnie and the other Warriors, the farm is home to dogs, cats, pigs, goats, sheep, cows, donkeys, ponies, ducks, geese, chickens, rabbits, pigeons, and peafowl.
For us, rescue doesn’t end when an animal arrives. It means providing everything they need for the rest of their lives—from routine veterinary care and specialized surgeries to custom wheelchairs, prosthetics, medications, proper nutrition, enrichment, and safe places to call home.
Charlotte’s Freedom Farm welcomes visitors during scheduled open days and special events throughout the year.
Meeting the animals in person is one of the best ways to experience the sanctuary and learn how every donation makes a difference.
